Dear24 is published by Károly Drészer, who is responsible for the personal data handled through the app. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@dreszer.hu.

This notice covers the Dear24 app and this promotional website.

This website

This promotional website does not set cookies, use advertising trackers or run analytics scripts. Its images and fonts are served locally with the site. There are no registration forms or newsletter subscriptions.

When the website is hosted, its hosting provider may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the pages. Opening an email link uses your chosen email service.

Information in the app

Dear24 creates an automatic account identifier so you can save and access your calendars. The current app does not ask you to register with an email address or password. This identifier is pseudonymous: it can still be linked to your calendars and is not the same as fully anonymous data.

• Profile and calendar details: your optional display name, sender and recipient names, relationship choice, calendar year, sharing code and calendar status.
• Surprise content: messages, coupon text, selected photos, song links and descriptions, and plans or ticket details you enter. Incomplete drafts may also be saved automatically.
• Calendar activity: the calendars you add, the days you open, saved content and coupon redemption status.
• Technical information: authentication sessions and information needed to operate, troubleshoot and protect the service.

The system photo picker gives the app access to the photos you choose. It does not give the app unrestricted access to your photo library. Selected photos are uploaded when saved as part of a calendar. Only share content you are entitled to use, and take care with information about other people.

Why we use this information

We use this information to create, save and deliver calendars, provide relationship-based gift ideas, show the appropriate surprise on each advent day, remember progress and respond to support requests.

Where the GDPR applies, processing necessary to provide the service you request is based on performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Security and abuse prevention are based on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); we consider your rights when relying on that basis. Where consent is required for an optional use, it must be obtained separately and can be withdrawn.

The current app does not include advertising or third-party analytics integrations. We do not use calendar content for advertising profiles or sell it. Gift suggestions do not involve automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Sharing and service providers

People you share with. Sharing a calendar allows a recipient who adds its code to access the available surprises. Treat the sharing code as private and send it only to the intended recipient. A recipient may keep copies of content you share.

Supabase. The app uses Supabase for automatic account identification, calendar storage and private photo storage. Calendar content is stored on the service, not exclusively on your device. Access is restricted according to ownership and recipient permissions.

Apple. Access credentials are kept in the iOS Keychain. If iCloud Keychain is enabled, Apple may synchronise these credentials across your devices. Calendar content and photos remain in Supabase. Apple also operates the platform and app distribution services.

External links. Opening a song link takes you to the selected music service, which processes information under its own privacy terms. The app does not upload your music library.

Providers may process information outside your country. Applicable contractual and transfer safeguards depend on the provider and service configuration. You can ask us for details at hello@dreszer.hu.

Retention and deletion

Calendar data remains stored while you keep it in the service, until it is deleted or a deletion request is fulfilled. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete calendars stored in the cloud, and credentials may remain in iCloud Keychain.

To request deletion of your automatic account and associated data, contact hello@dreszer.hu. We may need limited information to identify your account; do not send passwords or access tokens.

The current build also includes a Full reset action in Profile. It deletes your automatic account, your own calendars and photos, your received-calendar associations and the app’s saved credentials. Calendars you created become unavailable to recipients. Calendars owned by other people are retained.

Previously issued sharing codes remain reserved to prevent their later reassignment. This reservation does not retain the deleted calendar content. Technical logs and backups may remain for the limited periods set by the relevant provider; deletion does not remove copies independently saved by recipients.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. We normally respond within one month, with any lawful extension explained.

You can complain to your local data protection authority. In Hungary, this is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

Children and personal content

Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use and the sharing of names, photos and personal messages. Do not include sensitive information or other people’s private details unless you have an appropriate reason and permission to share them.
